Aggressively pursue solutions regarding street repair and addressing flooding concerns.
Flooding is a serious concern for North Royalton residents. However, flooding
does not begin and end at our borders. We must, as a city,
communicate and cooperate with neighboring cities to solve the
flooding problem in this region.
The worst thing we could do is spend millions
of Dollars on flood prevention measures without first consulting and
cooperating with neighboring communities. Flood waters do not
recognize municipal borders.
Once Mayor, I will propose a Regional Flooding Task Force,
which would address storm water issues within the southwest suburbs.
Why? This would not only address current flooding problems, it would
also serve as a tool to search for outside funding sources to
conquer this regional problem. I firmly believe that we must take on
the flooding situation with a united regional voice.
